Residents are seething about the cuts announced to rural bus services announced without consultation or impact assessment. Communities such as Utkinton will be most affected, leaving those without access to a car, cruelly isolated and vulnerable.
Despite being only 10 miles from Chester it might as well as be on the moon for some villagers who will find it even more challenging to access essential services in Tarporley such as doctors or dentists.
The world around us is changing and without access and communication links many are condemned to loneliness and isolation. Let's restore bus services and re-open Tarporley Station if we want everyone to enjoy mobility, essential to health and prosperity in today's world.
